Well, there’s nothing to report! The bitter cold that started just before the new year has continued. Combined with a bomb cyclone (whatever that is) and a snowstorm it has resulted in a severe cold stun event. NC Marine fisheries issued Proclamation FF-1-2018 which closes recreational and commercial fishing for spotted seatrout until June 15, 2018. We’ll have to wait until the weather improves and folks get on the water again to get a better handle on the extent of the cold stun event and what fishing opportunities are available. Stay tuned.
